I never heard of any law like that....Check with attorney..i have friends who had done like that

I agree with the other post.
You need to make a visit to the nearest uscis office tomorrow morning and give them the details and preferably get that second AP application withdrawn or cancelled or whatever.
Now did you receive just the approval notice for the first AP or did you actually get the AP document? Make sure you got the actual AP document (the one with the photo, etc.).
Good luck. I think you should be fine.

Did you talk to you lawyer about this? if so, what is their take on it..Was the 485 for your spouse filed by your company(employer) lawyer?

A unique situation -
I am getting ready to apply for my wife's AOS (ROW). She has never used a last name on any legal documents, example birth certificate, passport.
Her H4 visa was processed with "FNU" - family name unknown .. Do I need a last name for filing her I-485? Can she get a GC with only her first name on it?
Or will they process it with FNU as last name...
Should i go to her embassy (Indonesia) and get her passport changed to my last name before applying for her 485? In that event, her H4 visa,passport and birth certificate will not match her passport..
Any thoughts on my situation?
I guess, nobody really knows the answer. If she does not have a last name and all she uses is her first name, it should be alright. Since all her legal documents- Birth certificate, Passport, DL, Bank Statements have this legal first name only. If she now wants to use your family, last name after getting married, that could also be done. You should really consult your lawyer on this one. Please do not use any advice from this forum as legal or valid.

Getting name change while you are on Indian passport is a lot cheaper and easier than getting it done on US passport.
You get the name changed in Indian passport. Then you need to get a new I797. USCIS notifies SSA, who will issue you a new SSN card (you cannot get ssn changed directly).
I am not sure how much of this is an issue with GC process.

It's easy, I've been doing it all week long.
Choose to export. When you do it comes up with a menu which lets you choose wireframe export. Also it allows you to choose which type of fills you want to use, as well as options for either the complete wireframe, or just the edges.
I'll be posting my first example of interesting uses for this effect, tomarrow some time.

To the best of my knowledge and what I have heard from our international office and immigration lawyers: Once you are counted (Baptised!!!), you do not need to worry about cap-subject ceiling.
For making it doubly sure, always check with recruiting firm's lawyers and your non-profit company's lawyers. They will be doing the paper work. If confusions previal, you can give advise, counsel or consult attorney.
My guess is: this is well known fact and may not need attorney. See what others say.

Why you take lawyer's help for this simple thing. ?
Almost everybody renewed EAD/AP by themselves.
EAD/AP filings must go to your I-485 processing center.
I think, if the lawyer send to wrong center, it will redirect to the correct center, there will be a time delay for this.
Same here! Our lawyer send our EAD,AP renewals to NSC,even though my 485 is pending at TSC(Last July got transferred from NSC).Till far no LUDs no any thing regarding them.I applied on June 30th and till far no update.Is this normal?

My receipt number begins with WAC too and is with the California Service Center with receipt date of Oct. 5. There was pretty consistent movement until Dec. 18 and though their current processing dates show Oct. 15 since then, I have'nt heard anything as yet. Does anyone have any information on this?

Is PD porting allowed without ever working for the future employer who got I-140 approved? Is this still possible if the future employer revokes the I-140 because employee does not intend to join them?

Does it mean that if she graduates before the I-485 is approved, she cannot work? Or can she accept employment on the green card EAD even though the I-140/I-485 are pending. What will be her status during that period?
